There are many Samsung Galaxy S6 owners who really don’t care one way or the other what version of Android they have on their handset. Some on the other hand cannot wait to update to the latest version.
Owners had to wait a long time before getting Android 5.1.1 Lollipop while LG G4 owners got it a long time before them. The only handsets that got timely updates were the Google Play Editions but the Samsung Galaxy S6 turned its back on pure Android.
This was down to Samsung saying that pure Android wasn’t wanted by people. So it looks like it wasn’t as popular as first thought, even though it did get updated faster. The pure Android handsets haven’t been around for two years due to people not wanting them.
But what do you think, should Samsung have offered the Samsung Galaxy S5 as a Google Play Edition with pure Android?
