Goggle revealed that Android M is going to be released as Android 6.0 Marshmallow and we can expect the new OS to make its way out onto tablets and phones this fall. Among the handsets to receive it will be the Samsung Galaxy S6, the Note 5 and the Edge.

Samsung were the first phone maker to give the good news about the update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow and they said that update is going to give owners an easier option for choosing which of the functions apps can access in the App permission features. It will also make tracking down which of the apps use up the most memory in the Memory tab.

Another benefit to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update with the Samsung Galaxy S6, Note 5 and the Edge is when it comes to unlocking the handset. Users will also be able to log into apps such as Google Play Store to authorize purchases easier and there will be a new mode called Doze Mode that will be activated when the device hasn’t been used for a while to reduce the amount of background processes and therefore extend the battery life.
