Samsung Galaxy S6 Getting The Nougat It Deserves

By  |

It is great news to hear that the Samsung Galaxy S6 is getting updated to Android 7.0 Nougat but it would be even better news if the device got the Nougat version that it deserves courtesy of Android 7.1.1.

Android Nougat 7.1.1 brings with it a bigger set of emoji, which comes from the Google Pixel devices, along with access to GIFs through the keyboard on messaging apps and shortcuts for apps that allow quick actions when you long press on the icon.

If you don’t think that the Samsung Galaxy S6 will be treated to the new Android Nougat you can install LineageOS 14.1 ROM onto the device. This is a custom ROM for the S6 that will take Android up to the next level.

Owners of the G920F version of the Samsung Galaxy S6 can download the LineageOS 14.1 custom firmware and Google Apps and then install it onto their device.

If you aren’t up to date with flashing custom ROMs you will be happy to hear that there is a video with guidelines to help you, which you can check out below.
