The back room at the CES was the place for a select few members of the media to get a look at the upcoming displays of Samsung. Of course in the centre was the Youm display, which grabbed everyone’s attention. However this may not have been the biggest thing to come out of the back room hangout. Placed on one of the walls was a roadmap of Samsung handsets and this could have given us a hint as to what the company have in store for the display of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4.
Samsung Galaxy S4 details show up in CES backroom
Take a look at the 3rd slot from the left on image, this is the one that shows a 4.8 inch and 5.55 inch HD displays. You would think that these could be for the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. That is because these are the sizes of the screens for those devices. However it is what is seen next on the roadmap that causes a buzz.
There is a slot that mentions the 4.99 inch FHD display. This would mean a 4.99 inch display of 1080p with ppi of 440 and the availability would be Q1 of 2013. This ties in perfectly with everything we’ve heard so far about the Samsung Galaxy S4. On the roadmap nothing else is shown and it does make sense that Samsung would choose to go for the 1080p display next as other phone makers have jumped on the bandwagon.
At the moment we don’t know anything else about the Samsung Galaxy S4, other than rumours, one of which is that the handset could come with the Exynos Octa 8 core processor.
