First you need to install a new SIM card from the carrier you have chosen, then restart the handset.

Then you need to head to the dial pad and then type in *#197328640#.

You should then follow the steps outlined below to unlock your Samsung Galaxy S4 and the S3.

[1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3] Perso SHA256 OFF.

Wait for 30 seconds and then you can go back to the menu and here you should see a network lock. You should then choose [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ and you should have unlocked your handset.

While this works with the Samsung Galaxy S4 and S3 the code has also been said to work with other handsets belonging to Samsung.
