The Samsung Galaxy S3 is currently the must-have Android smartphone on the market. With its powerful processor, the Samsung Galaxy S3 offers blazing speeds but at a price tag that may scare off many buyers.
Samsung Galaxy S3 gets beaten by Xiaomi Mi-Two in benchmarks
If you find the $700+ price tag of the Samsung Galaxy S3 out of reach, then XiaoMi may be the answer. GSMInsider reports that the Xiaomi Phone 2 with its Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 PRO APQ8064 quad-core processor blew the Samsung Galaxy S3 away in benchmark tests. What is even more shocking is that this powerful Android phone is expected to retail for only $310 unlocked.
Here is a rundown of its other specs: Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with MIUI launcher, 4.3-inch 720p IPS display by Sharp, 8 megapixel 27 mm F2.0 BSI rear camera, 2 megapixel 28mm front camera, 2 GB LPDDR2 RAM and 16 GB storage, 2,000 mAh battery, with optional 3,000 mAh battery also available, DC-HSPA+ WCDMA 850, 1900, 2100 alongside quad band GSM, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi Display, MHL HDMI and USB OTG.
Unlike other China Android phones, the Xiaomi “Mi-Two” is no lightweight. When and whether it will make its way to US shores still remains to be seen but if it does, many folks will appreciate that it also comes in multiple color options and its design is as good as that of the Samsung Galaxy S3, in my opinion at least.
