Despite the fact that the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Samsung Galaxy S3 run on two different operating systems, they do have many things that they share. For instance they both comes with very innovative features, top end specs and can be considered the flagship devices of their respective platforms at this moment. But just how do they match up in other areas?

When it comes to style they both have it thanks to designs that are unique and of quality build. The Nokia Samsung Galaxy S3 when it comes to not having the cheap plastic look to it. Displays are always a huge draw and there is no doubt that both of these handsets have what it takes to be a winner. The Samsung Galaxy S3 has a Super AMOLED display of 4.8 inches and comes with a resolution of 1280 x 720. The Lumia 920 on the other hand has the IPS TFT PureMotion HD+ screen of 4.5 inches and resolution of 1280 x 768. The Samsung Galaxy S3 runs on the Exynos Cortex A9 quad core 1.4GHz processor if you have the international version. The US version is powered by the dual core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor. The Lumia 920 comes with the MSM8960 dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon Krait processor and matches the processor of either versions of the S3. Internationally the Samsung Galaxy S3 has 2GB of RAM and in the US this is 1GB. Both devices seem almost equally powerful. Winner: Draw
The Samsung Galaxy S3 comes in storage of 16GB, 32GB and soon 64GB and there is the option to expand with SD card up to another 64GB. The Nokia Lumia 920 has 32GB of storage, but it does lack the SD card expansion. Winner: Samsung Galaxy S3
Both of the devices cameras are equally match at 8 megapixels. The Samsung Galaxy S3 has a front camera of 1.9 megapixels, which beats that of the Lumia 920 at 1.3 megapixels. The camera on the back of the Lumia 920 is better thanks to superb low light photos. Winner: Nokia Lumia 920 (slightly)
The Samsung Galaxy S3 has support for 4G LTE in the US and it also has NFC built in. the batter is large at 2100mAh and out of the box is runs on Ice Cream Sandwich, Android 4.0. Jelly Bean Android 4.1 is said to be on its way. The Lumia 920 runs on Windows Phone 8 OS, has NFC, LTE support and a battery of 2000mAh. The devices are an even match and so this category is a draw.
If you don’t need to rush out and buy a phone today, it might be worthwhile waiting to see what is offered with Windows Phone 8. At the moment there isn’t much information from Microsoft about the OS features. However if the superb display and camera of the Nokia Lumia 920 doesn’t appeal to you in the first place, then the Samsung Galaxy S3 is out now and you can pounce on one.
