Samsung Galaxy S3 Price Tag Takes Nose Dive After S4 Unveiling

By  |

One of the must have devices has been the Samsung Galaxy S3 and even though the handset has not reached one year old, the next in line has been announced by way of the Samsung Galaxy S4. The handset should be out in April and this had led to the cost of the Samsung Galaxy S3 dropping down a lot around the world. Some of the biggest price drops have been seen with those that don’t offer carrier subsidies. This has been in India and Malaysia.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 has been popular due to the fact that it is a top end device. With the price dropping it is even more of a deal than ever before. But then there is the fact that there is a new handset coming out of course.

When the handset was revealed it came with a price of Rs. 43,000 in India. It then went down to Rs 31.900 and last week it has the price tag of Rs. 29,480. You can get it even cheaper with Klipmart as they are offering it for Rs. 29,200.

In Malaysia the cost of the handset was RM 2,300 when it was released and today you would pay just RM 1,500.

Despite the fact that a new device has come out, many people will consider the price drop to be too big of a temptation. You also have to consider the fact that the new device will have a large price tag when launched, if you want it off contract. The cost could be around $580 USD.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 has the 4.8 inch Super AMOLED display with 1280 x 720 resolution. It has a quad core processor of 1.4GHz along with a camera of 8 megapixels, with a 1.2 megapixel camera on the front. When the Samsung Galaxy S4 is on the shelves it will come with a full HD display of 4.99 inches, run on the Exynos 5 Octa core processor internationally and it will possess a camera of 13 megapixels. Over in the US the handset will be quad core.
