The update to Jelly Bean 4.2.2 is said to be heading towards the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the Samsung Galaxy S3 soon, possibly in May or June.
This news is great for owners of the handsets and it has been said that the update will make an appearance after the announcement of Key Lime Pie Android 5, which is expected at the I/O on 15th May.
The Jelly Bean 4.1.2 update was just rolled out to some versions of the Samsung Galaxy S3 along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on some of the carriers.
It was the Twitter account of SamMobile that said the updates would be coming in May or Jube.
When it starts to roll out, older devices will have the same version as what is on the Samsung Galaxy S4. When the device was revealed Samsung said that some of the features of the device would make their way to the older handsets too.
However they didn’t say which features would be seen on the older handsets. If leaks are anything to go by we could be seeing Smart Scroll and Smart Pause. There may also be multi-view on the US version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 along with motion control that has been enhanced.
The leak doesn’t come with much info about the update to Jelly Bean 4.2.2 for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the Samsung Galaxy S3; it is thought that it was referencing the international version of the handset. This may mean that owners in the US could have to wait for some time before they seen the update.
