According to TechRadar an anonymous source has said that the update to Jelly Bean for the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be coming sooner than first thought.
TR: Samsung Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean update out August 29
TechRadar reported early last month that the update could come around September or October. However it looks as though it will be much sooner as a source has said that the update is complete and it will be out with the Galaxy Note 2.
At the moment we don’t known if all of the handset of Samsung will get the update. One thing for sure is that the Galaxy S3 will have it. Reports have also suggested that the S2 and the original Note will be getting it too. There have been reports that testing has gone well for the update but Samsung have not said whether the device will get the update or not.
If the S2 doesn’t get the update there have been suggestions that it would get a Value Pack, this would be in the same manner as the Galaxy S got ICS. This could also happen with the original Note. All Samsung would say is that they have not made announcements yet about existing products and updates to Jelly Bean. They said that usually updates are left to the carriers as they have to test it with their networks.
