There is some good news for owners of the Samsung Galaxy S3 in the US. A press statement has been issued by Samsung to its US users reminding them that they haven’t forgotten about delivering the Jelly Bean update stateside.
Press release: Samsung Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean update US status
The press release is reassuring owners of the Samsung Galaxy S3 that the Jelly Bean update will be arriving in the US within the next couple of months, which ties in with reports of a November release date.
Of course while they will be handing the update to carriers, it is down to the carriers to then get it out to consumers. Specific timing of this of course may vary depending on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon. Samsung also reminded us of the new features we would enjoy once the Jelly Bean update has arrived for the Samsung Galaxy S3.
In the statement issued by Samsung they said that being the number one provider of mobile phones in the US they are committed to bringing the latest innovations onto the market, such as the rollout of Jelly Bean. According to YouMobile, we can expect AT&T, Sprint & T-Mobile to get the update sometime in November. Verizon is still open to speculation but now that Samsung has said a couple of months, it may even be coming in 2013 for all we know.
