Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be able to get their hands on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for their handset from next week after the Mobile Unpacked event has taken place in Berlin on Wednesday, reports AndroidCentral.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Android Jelly Bean update available next week
The event is when we can also expect the announcement of the successor to the Galaxy Note, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The update should roll out to many countries in Europe, including the UK. The update will be welcomed as it will bring Google Now and it will also give users the new TouchWiz dormant mode, which offers better alert management and notifications.
Residents in the US along with Canada are out of luck at the moment as there is no information when the Jelly Bean update will be coming to their version of the Samsung Galaxy S3. On the other hand those living in the UK and Europe will be celebrating the update and surprisingly Samsung have managed to turn around the update in what is considered to be record time.
