A reliable source has said that Motorola is set to release the Droid Razr HD and the Razr Maxx HD in October in order to take on the Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5, reports Droid-Life. While Motorola did not go into any detail, they didn’t have to, as employees at Motorola have provided DL with specs thanks to image hosting along with benchmarking sites.
Motorola DROID RAZR HD & MAXX to taken on iPhone 5 & Samsung Galaxy S3
We also got some great info from the FCC filing for the handset, such as the fact that it will come with a battery of 2530mAh. The same sources also said that the launch of the devices would be affected by how many of the Razr and Razr Maxx devices they sell on the run up to the fall. However this doesn’t sound true as the original will soon be a year old and this is a long time in the world of Android.
Could Motorola be committing smartphone suicide if they wait until October before the release of their devices? Apple is rumored to be releasing the iPhone 5 in September/October. Would they be better releasing them before this happens if they want them to do well on the market?
The Razr Maxx HD might have a whopping 3300mAh battery and a long battery life is one thing that smartphone users want and it has been the selling point in the Razr Maxx.
