More than one report has said that the Android 4.1 update for the HTC One X has started to roll out around the world. Owners in Taiwan and other countries in Asia have been the first to get the update; however some countries in Europe are now supposedly getting the update too.
Amazing Jelly Bean race: Samsung Galaxy S3 vs HTC One X
Some users have confirmed that the HTC One X Jelly Bean update is Android 4.1.2 and it is 352.87MB. The update comes with Sense 4+ and this has support for new user interface skins and home screens that loop. Android 4.1 also introduces users to Project Butter and this gives users Google Now and a smoother user interface.
If you haven’t yet got the update you can head into Settings, About, Software updates and check now.
Coincidentally, the biggest Android rival to the HTC One X is also getting its Jelly Bean update right now – the Samsung Galaxy S3. The S3 saw rollout of Android 4.1 earlier this month and it was just last week that Sprint users manage to get their hands on it.
It will be interesting to see which manufacturer finishes updating their handset to Jelly Bean first.
