What’s the real deal when it comes to the battery life of the Samsung Galaxy S3? GSM Arena undertook some tests to find out how well the battery of the Samsung Galaxy S3 stood up in real life tests and it seems that the 2,100mAh battery actually gives out plenty of usage before having to be recharged.

In regards to 3G talk time the Samsung Galaxy S3 offers around 10 hours and 20 minutes. This is only beaten by the superb Motorola Droid Razr and Razr Maxx with batteries of 3300mAh and 2500mAh. It even outdoes the iPhone 4S with its 7 hours and 41 minutes and the Samsung Galaxy S2 with 8 hours and 35 minutes.
When it came down to web browsing the results were somewhat mediocre. The Samsung Galaxy S3 lasted for around 5 hours and 17 minutes, which of course is disappointing when you take into account that the iPhone 4S lasts 6 hours and 56 minutes. It does however come in around the same time as the HTC Sensation XL, the Galaxy Note and the HTC Rezound.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 shines in the video department for playback. The Galaxy S3 lasted 10 hours and came in just behind the Droid Razr Maxx.
You should be able to get around a day of moderate use from the Samsung Galaxy S3 without running out of battery. However it doesn’t have the Tegra 3 companion core of the HTC One X to make good use of the battery. Nevertheless other measures were put in place to ensure that the device do not gobble up the juice too fast as can be seen from the figures.
