Apple won over Samsung in court and now they are trying to ban several of Samsung’s devices. In total 8 Androids were mentioned but they were generally older models from last year.
Apple moves to ban devices like Samsung Galaxy S3 too
Now Engadget reports that Apple has plans to include some of the newer devices into this list, including the flagship Samsung Galaxy S3, Note and Note 10.1. Many thought that Samsung may get over the ban by updating software. Samsung were ordered to pay $1 billion in damages after they lost their battle against patents issues brought about by Apple.
In total there were eight patents of Apple’s that Samsung have infringed upon. These patents include slide to unlock and the universal search function. Another is the 647 patent which Apple got HTC with in 2010. This relates to clicking on phone numbers in an email to place a call.
So it looks like Apple and Samsung will be doing battle again, this time over which handsets may be banned in the US. If you want to get your hands on one of these handsets, by which we are of course referring to the Samsung Galaxy S3, now may be the time to go out and get it before they disappear from the shelves.
