Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.2 Update Gearing Up

By  |

There is good news for anyone who has been waiting to hear what is happening about the Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S3. We have seen some screenshots leaked of the handset running Jelly Bean 4.2.1. This suggests that the update does exist and that the update will be rolling out soon for the international version of the device.

If the screenshots are the real thing this means that owners of the Samsung Galaxy S3 could be in for a superb treat. One of the features will be Smart Scroll. Owners will be able to scroll through webpages using just their eyes. This was bragged about when the Samsung Galaxy S4 was released.

We did think that the screenshot had been taken from the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4, but it did turn out to be from the Samsung Galaxy S3 as you can see the model number on the About Phone screen.

Another feature coming owner’s ways will be Smart Pause. This means that owners are able to look away from the display and pause the video. This uses the front camera of the handset.

You do have to take into account that Smart School is not thought to work will all apps. This can be seen in the control screen as the owner can set up apps to work with it.

There is little doubt that the update will be welcomed by owners of the handset. Those on Sprint are able to look forward to a new colour of the handset, they will get a purple version of the Samsung Galaxy S3.

While the Samsung Galaxy S4 has been announced, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will perhaps remain just as popular as ever.
