The folks over at Product-Reviews recently asked their readers if they are still happy with the experience on the Samsung Galaxy S3 or whether they have been somewhat dismayed by how long the Jelly Bean update has taken to come to your handset. The Jelly Bean update is out now on the majority of carriers, however at the moment customers with Verizon are still waiting for news and they haven’t been given any indication of when the update will come.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update
While those on Verizon and AT&T are still waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean update, those who already have it are now looking towards the next version of Android which is 4.2.
The good news is that Samsung have said they are looking into the portfolio of Galaxy devices to be updated to Android 4.2. They also said the roll out of the OS would be in due course. That statement means that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be getting the update since it is still the flagship Galaxy device.
However the company is very well known to be slow when it comes to offering updates and this could mean that owners of the Samsung Galaxy S3 could have to wait some time.
When it comes to Verizon & AT&T this is of course not the fault of Samsung, but the carriers. As they are the last to get the update it is safe to say that the same would happen with Android 4.2.
However is Android 4.2 anything special? Well it comes with new features which include Gesture Typing and Photo Sphere. Other than this there are only minor improvements to the OS.
