While Samsung have released a Galaxy S3 Mini that is the scaled down version of the S3, there is also another version of the S3, the Alpha, which happens to come with more power, better features and it runs Jelly Bean out of the box.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Alpha debuts
LatinosPost reports that Docomo have introduced to their consumers the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and on the side a Galaxy S3 Alpha. The new Alpha version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with the Exynos chip which is seen in the international versions of the handset and the quad core is said to be cranked up to 1.6GHz. The device has 2GB of RAM and features the same multi-tasking windows feature that the Galaxy Note 2 has, along with the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. The international variation of the Galaxy S3 has the 1.4GHz quad core processor along with 1GB of RAM of course so this is a serious step up in the hardware front.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 Alpha is said to come with a HD Super AMOLED display of 4.8 inches and it has a resolution of 1280 x 720. The camera in the back is the 8 megapixels and there will be a 1.9 megapixel camera on the front. So its the same here.
The original international version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with ICS and this is being updated to Jelly Bean at the time of writing. At the moment only certain countries have the update, with more on the way. In the US the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be updated, however at the moment all we know is that the update is coming soon. It is thought that this will happen before the end of the year with the last reports hinting at November.
