By  |

It is thought that soon we could hear news from the Google camp about a new Nexus device, or two, and maybe even something about Android 4.2. This is all well and good, but many fans of Android devices are more interested in when they will be getting updates to devices they own. If you are the owner of the Samsung Galaxy S2, Note 10.1 or the Galaxy Note, then there is at least good news for you.

Samsung Galaxy S2, Note & Note 10.1 Jelly Bean update

All three of the above devices are set to get the update to Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) very soon. In many regions this update has already gone out to owners of the Samsung Galaxy S3, which means that older handsets will also be getting it very soon.

If you have the Note 10.1, Note or the Galaxy S2, Samsung Sweden have said that the update is coming within the next few months. Androidauthority have also told us that next month is when the Samsung Galaxy S2 will get the update, and the Note and Note 10.1 will follow on in Q4 of 2012. Samsung have said that this update will be available through KIES and also OTA.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 has been a great seller since its release last year and so there are many owners out there, all waiting to get the latest Android OS. When the update arrives it will give the year old S2 a much needed facelift.
