In the past Samsung have not always been the fastest to get their updates out to customers. Though it looks like they could have turned over a new leaf with the release of Android 4.1. The update has indeed been rolled out to many owners of the Samsung Galaxy S3 in what could be called record time. Owners who have the Samsung Galaxy S2 from last year have also been promised the update.
Samsung Galaxy S2 Jelly Bean update narrowing in
It has been said that owners of the Samsung Galaxy S2 will not have too long to wait to get their hands on the update. Over in Denmark, Samsung have said that the update will come out at some point in November. In Sweden word is that the update will be available during Q4 of 2012. There are some carriers in Canada that have also given launch windows for the update inside of 2012.
Telus meanwhile have said that the update will come to the S2 first and then to the Note. They say that this should occur sometime in the second half of December.
So owners of the Samsung Galaxy S2 should therefore not have too long to wait to get their hands on the update as it seems to be next in line behind the Galaxy S3 after all.
