Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S2 will be pleased to know that the official release of the Jelly Bean update for their devices cannot be too far away. The update has been leaked for international handsets already.
Samsung Galaxy S2 Jelly Bean update leaked already
The leak comes courtesy of XDA developers and it is the 4.1.2 version for the Samsung Galaxy S2. The build is listed as being I-9100 and it looks as though it is bug free. This could very well be the final version of the Jelly Bean build. Samsung did say that they would have the update by November and if the leak is anything to go on then they could be keeping their word.
Jelly Bean 4.1 brings users of the Samsung Galaxy S2 many new features, one of which is the TouchWiz Nature UI and it will breathe new life into the year old device.
At the moment Samsung have not started rolling out the update and so if you want to get your hands on it you will have to know about flashing a ROM. If you are unsure how to do this then you might want to hang on and wait for the release of the real deal through Kies or OTA.
If and when the update arrives in November, the international version of the Samsung Galaxy S2 will be the first device to have received the update. It will then be down to carriers in the US to pull their finger out. With AT&T this could be some time. At least for owners of the S2 internationally Christmas has arrived early courtesy of Samsung.
