When the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 rumors started making its round this year, one rumor stood out among the rest and that was about Samsung’s plan to fit the fingerprint sensor behind the display.
We all know now that that did not work out for Samsung because the Note 8 came without it. We also heard that Apple was trying to do the same but ended up choosing the facial recognition feature instead.
While both Apple and Samsung failed to make it work this year, new reports are now claiming that Samsung has not given up on it yet and that they fully intend to offer that when they release the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 next year.
If they do manage to make it happen, it would once again put them ahead or at least on the same level as the iPhone X but we will have to see.
