Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Updated By Verizon

Verizon are pushing out the January security update to owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The Note 4 is an old handset and so they don’t have to update it anymore, so it is nice that the carrier is ensuring that it is secure.

Verizon will also be sending out updates for some of the older Samsung handsets and these include the Galaxy Note Edge and S5. Owners who have the handsets on Verizon will be offered the updates to firmware as below.

Galaxy S5: MMB29M.G900VVRS2DQA1

The security patches for the handsets are said to bring with them fixes for 76 vulnerabilities and exposures in Android. It also brings with it 28 security patches for the Samsung Galaxy handsets.

The security update is 30MB and you should make sure that you have a WiFi connection before you update and there is plenty of battery left on your device.
