Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Marshmallow Update A Shocker

By  |

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 owners were happy to hear that they would be getting the update to Android 6 Marshmallow and it brought with it the fact that it made the device faster.

Sprint owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 are the first to get hold of the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update and with it comes many improvements along with features. If you go ahead and update you will be running version N910PVPU4DPC1.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update brings with it a security update and if you haven’t been sent a notification about making the update for your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 you might want to head to About device and check the Software update.

When the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 does get updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow it will have the Doze feature and this helps to save battery on the device. It also comes with Google Now on Tap and the size is 1.4GB so download it through WiFi.

I had to reset my phone after the update, then sideload the Google Play store app.

After all that, which took several hours, the update is fine.

Downloaded to my Sprint Galaxy Note 4 last weekend. So far, the random reboots are driving me crazy, half the apps don’t work or crash the phone even though they’re all updated. I’ve cleared the app data, the phone cache, pulled the battery twice…think twice about whether or not you want this download now and look at Sprint’s support forum…
