By  |

Is the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung Galaxy Mega one and the same?

According to TheFullSignal it is possible that the Galaxy Mega will take over where the Note series left off. There have been a lot of rumours about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Word was the handset would come out in Berlin in August and that it would have a display of 6.3 inches, with numerous updates. However it seems that things may not be as simple as you first thought.

We have heard that Samsung are making numerous devices. The Galaxy Mega range would start with devices from the small to the large. Display sizes would be from 5.8 inches to 6.3 inches. The 6.3 inch device was given the name of the Galaxy Fonblet last month when it leaked. Many people are now saying that the Mega handsets are to replace the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 along with any Note devices in the future.

The Samsung Galaxy Note series did change how people saw smartphone, while analysts said that they didn’t think it would be a success, it has been. You do have to wonder why Samsung might want to re-brand, when the devices have seen success?

We could however see divergence here. The Samsung Galaxy Note devices will be aimed at those who like to take notes with the S Pen. The Galaxy Mega could be pushed to the consumer market and perhaps have media functionality that was higher end. Maybe it would even have new display tech thrown in for good measure.

It has been said that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 would come with the new Exynos 5 Octa processer and a better, along with more memory and new tech for the display. This would allow it to compete with the high end handsets from HTC. Just what technology it may have is not known.

We don’t have too long to wait now until we find out what’s happening with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. I’m sure that Samsung will give us some killer tech whatever the device is called.
