Samsung Galaxy Note 2 vs iPhone 5: battery life comparison

When the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was first released it was supposed to have better battery life than its predecessor and typically this is right. However thanks to the handset being large, battery life will always be an issue. If you are considering buying the handset then you may wish to check out the video below which compares the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with the Apple iPhone 5, the Samsung Galaxy S3 and other devices in the high end category.

The video shows the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 running a video in HD for one and a half hours with the display on full brightness, along with having notifications set to on. The Samsung Galaxy S3 was the winner, while the Apple iPhone 5 came in last place.

When it came to the talk time test the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 lasted 16 hours and 57 minutes, the Apple iPhone 5 came in at 8 hours and 42 minutes. The internet browsing test showed that the Apple iPhone 5 lasted 9 hours and 56 minutes while the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 came in at 8 hours and 48 minutes. This was no huge surprise as there is a difference in screen size. The final test was video playing and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 came in at 11 hours and 27 minutes and the Apple iPhone 10 hours and 12 minutes.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 came out top in the test overall and now it offers consumers a new range of colours to choose from too.
