When Samsung introduced the Galaxy Note 2 they said that the battery was far better than on the predecessor. To some extent they were right. However thanks to the handset being large and powerful, battery life is always going to be a problem. With this in mind you may wish to check out the video which compares the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 battery to that of the Apple iPhone 5, the Samsung Galaxy S3 and some of the other high end devices.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 vs iPhone 5: battery life test

One of the first tests was running a HD video for one and a half hours with the display on full brightness, along with having notifications turned on. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 came out on top, while the Apple iPhone 5 was in 5th place.

For talk time the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 lasted 16 hours and 57 minutes, the Apple iPhone 5 lasted just 8 hours and 42 minutes. For web browsing this turned out to be 8 hours and 48 minutes, while it was 9 hours and 56 minutes for the Apple iPhone 5. This is not a huge surprise when you take the displays into account. The last test was playing video and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 lasted 11 hours and 27 minutes, while the Apple iPhone 5 lasted 10 hours and 12 minutes.

So it seems that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is the winner overall and it also comes in more colour choices. So therefore the choice between the two may be easy for many.
