As soon as Apple revealed the Apple iPad Mini it was compared to the other tablets that were on the market in the small tablet category. Even though it cost more some people said that it walked all over any other tablet. While this could be true, just how does it match up to the pricier Samsung Galaxy Note 2?
The Apple iPad Mini has the A5 processor and even more though this may not be the fastest kid on the block, it isn’t slow. The tablet comes with Power VR GPU and this makes sure that the performance is cool and solid. The Apple iPad Mini has 1GB of RAM and you can get it in white or black. The device is available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on the other hand as the 1.6GHz Exynos quad core processor and a graphics processor that is amazing. You can choose between the 16GB and 32GB version and here is support of up to 64GB through SD card. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is better for storage, the processor and RAM.
The display on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is 5.5 inches and offers 306ppi. This is more than you get with the Apple iPad Mini. Also take into account that the display of the Apple iPad Mini is not the retina display and this is something that people have criticised it for.
The Apple iPad Mini is a great size, however it cannot beat the tech that is found on the screen of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 as it has blacks that are deep, colours that are vibrant and a higher ppi.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 does not use apps for tablets, so it can use any of the 600,000 apps that Android is able to use. The winner here has to be the Apple iPad Mini and the App Store as after all we are comparing tablets.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has a camera of 8 megapixels and there is a camera of 1.9 megapixels on the front. The Apple iPad Mini has an iSight camera of 5 megapixels and there is a camera on the front of 2 megapixels and it can record video at 720p. The camera has five elements and so it can take excellent pictures especially in low light. However the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has the better reproduction of pictures and the camera is faster and so it has to be the winner.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has won the majority of cameras and it does come with hardware that is better and plenty of goodies, such as GPS, NFC, S-Pen and more. There are some things that you have to trade. The Apple iPad Mini can access apps that are tablet optimised and the price is lower.
