There has been a lot of debate as to which phablet will be the best this year – the HTC DROID DNA (J Butterfly) or the Samsung Galaxy Note 2?
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 & HTC J Butterfly (DROID DNA) may meet its match with ZTE phablet
Both have their advantages and the obvious difference is that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has the size (5.5-inches versus 5-inches) and the HTC DROID DNA has the higher resolution (1080p vs 720p) which automatically means more ppi as well. So how about if we told you there may be another phablet but with both a size and resolution advantage?
BGR reports that ZTE could be looking into launching their first Windows Phone 8 phablet with a 5.9-inch display and 1080p resolutions. Lu Qian Hao, who is head of market strategy at ZTE, has teased BGR with photos of the device, which the company are said to be bringing out, on the Weibo micro blogging website. Along with the photo of the handset he said that the device would have a display of 5.9 inches, it would be full HD at 1920 x 1080p, and would have DTS audio.
Of course, unlike the HTC J Butterfly and Samsung Galaxy Note 2, the ZTE phablet doesn’t run Android. So it may not be as popular as its rivals despite the better hardware. We’ll just have to wait and see.
