Reports have been going around that the device will be on the pre-IFA stage by 29th August. It is also thought that the device may go on sale in other countries straight away and it could be available in the US just weeks with either an exclusive carrier or open to all. In the US more than five carriers have the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung may well choose to use the same strategy on the launch of the Galaxy Note 2.
Rumor has it that the device will have the Exynos quad core processor with a higher clock speed than on the Samsung Galaxy S3. However it is expected that it will have the Snapdragon S4 in the US, which will have support for 4G LTE offered by Verizon, Sprint and AT&T. It would have support for T-Mobile’s 3G HSPA, as at the moment their LTE is not in place.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 may have a 5.5 inch HD AMOLED display and an 8 megapixel camera on the back and a 1.9 on the front. It is expected to launch with Android ICS and the Nature UX.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is thought to be in competition with the Galaxy S3, also of Samsung’s, and the new Apple iPhone. The iPhone 5 is rumored to be launching on the 12th September.
