After months of rumors it is finally official. Reuters reports that Samsung has gone ahead and confirmed that the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Note, the Note 2 will be officially unveiled at IFA 2012 Unpacked event that is scheduled to happen later this month.

Now Samsung hasn’t gone on to add anything more than that but unofficially we have a couple of details. Rumors have it that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will boast a massive 5.5-inch unbreakable display, meaning that while it will be nicer to view media on it would also mean more struggle trying to squeeze it into your pocket.

Other speculations hint at specs quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy S3 but with a faster clocked processor hence better benchmark results (we already saw this in a recent Nenamark benchmark leak).

Expected to ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Samsung doesn’t have any new Jelly Bean smartphones on the pipeline just yet, officially that is. We will keep you posted as more develops.

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, iPhone and Android games keep Berke busy at work all day. Honestly though we’re not sure why we’re paying him as it should be the other way around.
