SamsunGalaxy S3 & Note 2 Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Update: Now Or Never

By  |

After a lengthy wait we can now reveal that users of either the Samsung Galaxy S3, or the Galaxy Note 2, will soon be able to update their Android software to Jelly Bean 4.22.

Sources suggest that the update could be available sometime within the next 72 hours, with users of both handsets finally able to see their patience paid-off and upgrade their handsets. Samsung are yet to give any definitive date or time, but we fully expect it to be within the timescale mentioned. SamMobile have, however, confirmed on Twitter that there will be an early June release of the update, so our fingers are firmly crossed on this one given that it is already time!

News has also reached us that users of both the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and S3 will be able to update to Key Lime Pie. This, however, is nothing but a rumour and we believe that 4.2.2 will be the final update for these aging phones, although we might be wrong.

Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, in our opinion, will be saved for newer flagship products such as their newly released Galaxy S4.
