While the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge are two great devices, Samsung failed to help them both when it comes to the battery life. They both offer a Quad HD Super AMOLED display and both come with superb cameras, but both are let down by how long the battery lasts.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 offers the 3,000mAh battery and the S6 Edge has the 3,600mAh battery. As the batteries are big you would have thought that both devices would have good battery life, but this hasn’t been the case.
The poor battery life has meant that sales haven’t been as good as they should have been. Some people complained about the battery overheating, however this issue hasn’t been as bad as that of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
The overheating and poor battery life was said by some to be due to software but others said it was the hardware at fault. Of course Android Lollipop is well-known for draining batteries but it also happened with the update to Marshmallow.
So Samsung really didn’t help out the Samsung Galaxy S6 or the S6 Edge, at least when it came to battery life.
