As we’re now in 2013, PS3 fans are in for some good news from Bethesda. The company has promised PS3 users that Skyrim Dragonborn DLC will be with them in early 2013. Bethesda also said that Dawnguard and Hearthfire are on their way as well, but that because Dragonborn was the easiest DLC to get onto the PS3, it’s coming first.
PS3 Skyrim DLC: Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn & beyond
Xbox 360 fans are already playing all three DLC packs, and now that Bethesda has sorted PS3 teething problems, the much-anticipated DLC is nigh. So, what can we expect afterwards? A new Skyrim game, or more DLC? Most people think it’ll be new DLC.
It seems that Bethesda is following a pattern of five expansion packs for every Skyrim game before a new game is launched. We’ve already got three, so there’s two more lots of DLC to come before we see Skyrim 6.
So what will the fourth Skyrim DLC bring? TapScape thinks it might be focused on Thalmor. A scrap with Thalmor is brewing, so it’d make for a brilliant expansion. TapScape says this scrap will be more like a rebellion or uprising than a full-on war, though.
On the other side, a recent patent filing for Redguard has many Skyrim fans thinking that will be what the fourth DLC will be based on. So it looks like we may have a race for 4th place between these two possibilities.
