When a new iPhone is released they generally sell well. But selling out within one hour of pre-orders being taken is something else!
iPhone 5: How to get one?
The iPhone 5 is more popular than ever thanks to the Retina display of 4 inches, a faster A6 processor, support for 4G LTE and an 8 megapixel camera that has been improved over the iPhone 4S. With the demand already being high for the device you could have a struggle to get your hands on one on release day – 21st September.
Bear in mind that there are options for getting the iPhone 5, Apple store is not the only place you can get the new handset. However delivery of the phone could be delayed due to the high demand.
Verizon has posted a pre-order page and they have set the date as the 5th October for all three versions and both colors of the iPhone 5.
AT&T has said that the new iPhone 5 has broken sales records and you can get it on their pre-order page, with the device expected to be shipped in 14 to 21 days.
Sprint is offering the iPhone 16GB with shipping that could take up to 2 weeks on their pre-order page and you can pre-order the 32GB or 64GB versions ready for delivery on 21st September.
Walmart has the iPhone 5 with a discount of $10 which means that you can get the iPhone 16GB for $189.97 in stores and this is only in certain stores. They have a pre-order button which you can find on the top of their home page. You do have to pay $25 deposit and you can pick up the handset on the 21st September from any store that carries it.
Radio Shack allow you to pre-order the iPhone 5 in their stores if you leave a deposit of $50 and they say this deposit will make sure that you get the iPhone 5 in your hand this Friday, the 21st September.
Sam’s Club say that you can reserve the iPhone 5 on their website and it is available on the three top carriers, but you need to take out membership to do so.
Best Buy has a pre-order page that simply says that the iPhone 5 is coming soon. For now there is no indication of the cost of the devices. In store they are already taking pre-orders in some locations.
