Porsche are putting the Porsche Mission E ahead of the Porsche 928 but at least the 928 may get a successor.
If you do want to drive around in a Panamera coupe all hope is not lost but you are going to have to wait until the EV is launched first as this seems to be the top priority for Porsche.
Two officials from Porsche have spoken out about the body style of the Porsche Panamera Coupe. The director of sales and marketing gave confirmation of the launch of the shooting brake looks and said that it took inspiration from the Sport Turismo Concept.
While the future of the Porsche Panamera was talked about the officials didn’t say whether or not a Coupe version would be coming. They went on to say that they haven’t ruled out such vehicles but that right now they are focusing on a range of EVs that are under development.
The successor to the Porsche 928 is said to have brought a smile to the face of executives, but we may have to wait until 2020 to see it and it would be based around the 3rd generation of the Porsche Panamera.
The 2nd gen is on sale at the moment with the somewhat mild facelift and this is the 2017 model. Porsche won’t be developing a new body style based on the platform of the current version and then wait to show it offer it in showrooms following the launch of the Mission E. it is thought that they would use the 3rd generation Panamera and this would allow for a coupe version from day one and this would be the Porsche 928 successor.
