The new Android 8.0 Oreo will come with a fair amount of new features and upgrade. One of the new features that we will see is the new Project Treble.
In case you did not know, the new Project Treble will allow updates to be released to devices in a timely fashion even when chipmakers like Qualcomm no longer supports it. Although it sounds like a feature that is a must-have, manufacturers can actually opt to not support it if the device is updated to Android Oreo.
Well, OnePlus has announced that their OnePlus 5T will not be supporting Project Treble when the Android 8.0 Oreo does arrive which could mean something to those looking to get the new premium smartphone.
Of course, with everything that the OnePlus 5T has to offer, a lot of people would probably be willing to buy it despite the missing feature. What about you? Do you think Project Treble is worth letting go of the OnePlus 5T?
