Nokia, Apple and Samsung are three names on a lot of Christmas wishlists – which one of these flagships is on yours – the Nokia Lumia 920, the iPhone 5 or the Samsung Galaxy S3?
Nokia Lumia 920 vs iPhone 5 vs Samsung Galaxy S3: Australia’s Christmas shoppers guide
The Nokia Lumia 920 has an 8.7MP camera and amazing design. It weighs 185g, which is much heavier than the 133g Samsung Galaxy S3 and the 112g iPhone 5. It does, however, have 332ppi, way better than the iPhone 5 and the S3. Operating systems are important, and Windows Phone 8 is in third place, but it has one of the most impressive interfaces we’ve seen. It’s easier to “get” than iOS, which is saying something given how simple it is to learn the Apple OS. The Nokia Lumia 920 is only available from Telstra for now.
Australia is offering the best iPhone 5 deals – Virgin Mobile has it for $47 per month for two years (a total of $1,128) on its Big Plan 29. This is cheaper than any deal in the UK or the US, and you don’t have to fork anything out upfront. The iPhone 5 Aussie supply issue have been sorted, so it’s easily available.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 has everything you’ll get from the iPhone 5, but on Android, so the main choice you’ll have to make is between the operating systems. The screens are different in tech and in size, and this will make up many a mind too. Optus is offering the Samsung Galaxy S3 for around $51 a month, and on Telstra it’ll cost $60 on the Every Day Connect plan.
So what do you want to find under your tree this Christmas? The iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S3 or the Nokia Lumia 920?
