The Nokia Lumia 920 has today received the latest update for Windows Phone 8. A changelog has been posted for the Portico update and this is said to fix persistent Wi-Fi bug. The update, according to Microsoft, is 8.0.10211.204 and it comes with the following enhancements and fixes.
Nokia Lumia 920 update improvements (list)
There have been improvements to messaging and this is now a superb experience instead of being just great. Owners of the Nokia Lumia 920 are able to add more than one recipient when sending a text message and can save unsent text messages to draft, automatically. Text messages that have been received can also be edited before they are forwarded.
If you are too busy to take a call then you send a pre-written text reply to a caller, straight from the call answer screen. This is a great way to let people know that you are not just ignoring them, but that you are busy.
Your Windows Phone 8 device will now prioritise your Wi-Fi connections and this will be based on connection history. This is great if you have favourite Wi-Fi connections that you connect to on a regular basis.
Along with improvements from Microsoft, Nokia have also introduced improvements. One of these is with sharpness in photos. The Nokia Lumia 920 is great in low light; however when it comes to good light, this is another thing and there is some fuzziness to photos, in comparison to other devices. The fix remedies this and now owners of the Nokia Lumia 920, should have the best camera on any Windows Phone 8 handset.
Lastly the browser has been updated to allow you to delete certain history records instead of wiping the whole thing clean. There is also the option to now save bandwidth and not download images when viewing webpages on the Nokia Lumia 920 IE browser.
