The Nokia Lumia 920 hasn’t had the best of luck this week. While it was hyped to be one of the best smartphones to be making its way to the US this year, the first batch of reviews have been less than favorable.
Nokia Lumia 920 gets attacked by fellow Windows Phone 8 handset
As the tech gurus over at TheVerge and Engadget explained, while the Nokia Lumia 920 has some solid hardware and design under the hood, its strongest selling points like its camera have underperformed in normal lighting conditions, and the device still falls below its biggest rivals the Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 due to its chunky proportions and lack of apps.
Now if the Android Samsung Galaxy S3 and iOS iPhone 5 wasn’t enough to worry about, the Nokia Lumia 920 is being put down by its own kind as well, we’re talking about the Windows Phone 8 based HTC 8X.
According to WinPowerUser, one of the largest differences between the Nokia Lumia 920 and the HTC 8X happens to be the weight of the devices. This has been the ammunition for HTC who have taken a cheap shot at Nokia and their latest device.
HTC are competing with the Nokia for the best Windows Phone 8 device and they posted an image on their Facebook page along with the comment of “Don’t get weighed down. The HTC 8X is more than 20 pennies lighter than the “other” Windows Phone 8 handset”
The HTC 8X is 130 grams, which makes it 55 grams lighter than the Nokia Lumia 920 which is 185 grams. Each penny of course weigh 5 grams.
