The numbers for domestic green-car sales are out and although things were looking great in October, the numbers dropped by 1.9 % last month with only 39,000 units sold.

Many believe that the Nissan Leaf might have played a role in the drop of sales last month as it is believed that many of the green car fans are actually waiting for Nissan to release the new Leaf before they purchase the vehicle.

Of course, the delay of models like the Tesla Model 3 might also play a role in the drop. Things also did not look good for BMW as it was reported that their i plug-in sub-brand sales dropped 59% when compared to last year.

Almost things were looking bleak on one side, GM is smiling from cheek to cheek as it was reported that their green-car sales jumped by 64% compared to last year with about 5500 units sold.

It would be interesting to see if the arrival of the Leaf would shake things up.
