It looks like when the Nintendo Switch was announced the wrong games were revealed. Nintendo said that there would be support for the console from 50 third party developers along with publishers. They revealed the console with footage from two games that hadn’t been confirmed, these were The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim and NBA 2K17.

This of course led people to think that the games were coming out with the Nintendo Switch when the console arrives in March 2017. NBA 2K17 came out around one month ago on other consoles and the PC and Skyrim Special Edition is making its way to the Xbox One and PS4 next week.

When contacted representatives for Bethesda and 2K Sports both declined to comment about the games and whether they were developing them for the Nintendo Switch. Similar statements were given out along the lines of they had been happy to work with Nintendo on the trailer and saying that they wouldn’t confirm specific titles.

They did say that they were pleased to reveal a partnership with Nintendo and they were supporting the Nintendo Switch, so it does sound like the games will come onto the new console at some point.

As both statements were very similar we can only think that Nintendo has their hands tied at the moment. Nintendo said that they would reveal more information about the Nintendo Switch and its launch line-up before its debut in March.

Are you hoping that Skyrim and NBA 2K17 is making its way onto the Nintendo Switch, possibly when the console launches?
