There is never going to be a handset like the Nexus 6 in the future. The device was made during the partnership of Motorola and Google, but now they have split, so there isn’t going to be the same design seen in the future.
The design of the Nexus 6 was special but now that it is two years of age it is classed as old and the Pixel handsets are replacing the Nexus. The Nexus 6 is still a great choice as it offers a huge display of 5.96 inches diagonally. It measures in at 83mm across, 159mm tall and its 10.1mm thick and weighs 184 gram.
The design of the Nexus 6 is hard not to love as it comes with a silver aluminium frame that has a gentle curve and its great to hold. For that touch of class the Nexus logo is featured on the back of the handset in silver letters, while the display is covered with Gorilla Glass 3.
Just under the display are the stereo speakers and they are loud. While music is still a touch tinny, the Nexus 6 does offer up great sound. The display of the handset is Quad HD and this is 1440 x 2560 pixels with 493ppi, with the display being 6 inches. The images and text are sharp but the brightness and colour do let it down a little.
All in all the Nexus 6 is a great handset that offers up a superb design and it’s a shame that we won’t see more like it in the future.
