Next Generation Nissan Leaf Won’t Be Here For 2017

By  |

Many people who had considered the Nissan Leaf have been holding back from purchasing it as they believed the 2017 Nissan Leaf would be coming out. However we are now in the last quarter of this year and nothing has been said about its arrival up to now.

That was until now as Nissan have outed two ads for the 2017 Nissan Leaf and the bad news is that there are no significant changes to the design of the vehicle.

The ads were posted online but since then have been made private on YouTube, but not before word was out that the next generation Nissan Leaf isn’t happening for 2017.

The ads focused on the charging infrastructure of the Nissan Leaf so we don’t know if the refresh for next year will come with the 60kWh battery that should offer up more than 200 miles range or whether it is going to be the 40kWh unit.

If it is the latter then the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt is going to dominate the segment and the Nissan Leaf will be alongside the Ford Focus Electric and the BMW i3, with of course it having a range that is superior.
