We know that Renault is working on the new Renault Clio model and that they will be showing it off later this year at the Paris Auto Show but one thing the fans would like to know is if the vehicle is going to come with a diesel engine option or not.

According to AutoExpress, the new Renault Clio will be coming with the CMF-B architecture which will allow it to be fitted with a variety of petrol engine including the 0.9 liters three-cylinder engine and maybe even the new 1.3-liter engine.

Renault has not mentioned anything about offering the vehicle with the diesel engine and it is believed that Renault is reluctant to offer it as the market seems to be moving away from diesel engines.

There were talks about the possibility of the vehicle coming in with a 48V hybrid engine but we will have to wait and see. The vehicle will come with a basic semi-autonomous driving though.
