Next-Gen Dodge Challenger Should Be Delayed, Says Fans
The next generation Dodge Challenger could be delayed until 2019 or even longer and while you might have thought that this would be a bad thing for fans of Fiat Chrysler vehicles, they actually think it’s a good thing.
This is due to the fact that the Dodge Challenger and Charger that is on the market at the moment are doing well in sales and introducing a next generation model could ruin the chance of success for them.
Recently a source at FCA said that the next generation Dodge Challenger and Charger would be delayed until 2020. Both vehicles are said to be going to take on the Giorgio platform of the FCA and this is first going to be seen on the 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia and it should arrive as 2021 models.
The Dodge Challenger and Charger will get a second big update and this will ensure that they are kept fresh. The first update came back in 2015. An all-wheel drive Challenger GT is expected to come out in 2017 and the company also have a Challenger ADR planned, which should be given the V8 6.2 litre Hellcat engine.
