New Toyota Camry: Like Toyota Prius But With No Hybrid

By  |

The Toyota Camry is now one of the most successful midsized sedans on the market. We are now getting much closer to the next generation Camry and we are getting so excited to find out what the vehicle is going to offer.

The next generation Toyota Camry is said to be coming out next year and when it does it is going to rival the semi-autonomous driving technology of Honda. But what everyone wants to know is whether or not the vehicle is going to offer a drive that excites.

We know that the next generation of the Toyota Camry is going to be based on the TNGA platform and the underpinnings were seen on the new generation of the Toyota Prius. The same is also going to be seen on the new Honda C-HR and so will the next generation of the Camry.

The TNGA platform is going to be lightweight along with it being flexible. Toyota said that the TNGA platform is going to be a gateway for achieving even greater fuel economy. However the fun factor isn’t going to be lost and the Toyota Prius may prove this point.

The Toyota Prius has been said to look ugly on the exterior, however it did manage to quieten down the haters, thanks to it offering a performance that engages. We are also expecting the same to apply on the next generation of the Toyota Camry.

So perhaps the next generation Toyota Camry is going to end up like a Prius that has taken on the shape of a midsized sedan and lost the hybrid engine. But one thing that people want is for the Camry to avoid the design language of the Toyota Prius.
