The Mazda CX-5 made its way out at the LA Auto Show and it showed off some new looks. However what wasn’t made clear at the show was whether the vehicle was going to be the 2017 model or the 2018.
The Mazda CX-5 is a big change taking the carmaker forward into the premium market, just as all the others in the line-up are. Mazda wants to break into the premium market in a big way and while they have been taking it slow, they are slowly but surely heading towards being able to compete with brands from such as Audi and Porsche.
While people enjoyed seeing the Mazda CX-5 on show there was a great deal of confusion as to whether it would be called the 2017 Mazda CX-5 or the 2018 version. Reports suggested that it was going to arrive as the 2017 version but then these were contradicted by some people saying it would be branded as the 2018.
People kept thinking about the Honda CR-V as this is what happened with that vehicle. The 5th gen was supposed to arrive as the 2018 model but it was then revealed to be the 2017 model. Many people wondered whether the same was going to apply to the Mazda CX-5.
