If there wasn’t such a thing as the V8 engine then we wouldn’t have the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. These words don’t come from us but from Ford themselves who were answering a question about a greener autonomous future. It was Ford UK who spoke up about the fact that they are not going to change the Mustang, despite the fact that the auto world is changing.
So with these words coming from their own mouths fans of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 are able to breathe a sigh of relief as the vehicle is going to keep the V8 engine.
We had heard a rumour going around that perhaps Ford was going to lose the Coyote V8 engine and go with something smaller, but now we know different.
So it looks like the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is going to fall in love with the V8 engine all over again by offering up two 8 pots. Ford USA confirmed recently that they are working on a V8 4.2 litre engine, so this is in-line with them offering two engines, as Ford said that the Coyote V8 isn’t going anywhere.
